Well it started raining on the way home from the recci for the ride yesterday and it was still raining this morning.
I rode to the meeting point, just as well the lane was that flooded the car wouldn't of made it, water was almost over the wheels of my bike.

Six brave (foolish) souls set out from studham for a route over to ashridge.

Very muddy, very wet, very cold, very good fun!

We lost 2 people at the cafe stop they called for a lift home so then there were four.

Scared myself good and proper on one descent after the cafe, slippery chalk, steps, and a huge rut in the middle made by the over night rain oh and two people walking up right in my path, I think the look of panic in my face told them I wasn't (couldn't) stop or chance course.
A shorter route back to the meeting point with a bit more road than I would of liked but some bits were just so gloopy
Another on the edge really slippery descent I headed for the really muddy bits to slow as even breathing on the brakes had the wheels locking up.

Great fun just a shame about the weather.
Bike was almost clean when I got home after riding through the flooded lanes

Ashridge loop was 18 miles plus 5 miles each way for my ride to studham
